Cats are a fully qualified VSIB (Vehicle Systems Installation Board) accredited company and were one of the first to accept this regulation.  Our category’s for vehicles covered are part I, II, III, VI and T.  Although all cars sold in the UK since 1996 have an immobiliser by law they may not be a Thatcham approved product and many vehicles cars or vans are not installed with an alarm system from factory.

Cats can offer you an alarm or immobiliser system ranging from Thatcham category 1, 2 or 2-1 upgrade.  The system itself is a Thatcham approved product but this system can only be certified for insurance purpose if it carries a VSIB certificate.  This certificate will be given to you once your installation is complete.  The VSIB certificate carries an embossed stamp (not an ink/rubber stamp from your local stationers) similar to an MOT certificate and also has the accreditation number of the installing company.  If you have had a Thatcham alarm/immobiliser system installed for insurance purposes and cannot produce a VSIB certificate when making a claim this may affect your claim and your insurance company may not pay out.  PLEASE check with your insurance company that they require a VSIB certificate if you are being asked to have an alarm or immobiliser installed for insurance cover.

Car/Van Alarm and Immobilisers. (I, II,)

We can supply Laserline and Cobra alarm and immobiliser systems.  Thatcham category 1 alarms range from £300 inc vat installed to most common vehicles.  Thatcham category 2 immobiliser systems range from £130.00 inc vat installed to most common vehicles.  These will be supplied with a VSIB certificate for your insurance company.  PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL with your vehicle details to get an accurate price.  Although you may get a cheaper quote from someone else you may not be getting the correct certificate for insurance or protection on your vehicle.  Most alarms and immobiliser systems come with a manufacture installation certificate which non VSIB installers give out claiming that this is what customers need.  DON’T GET CAUGHT OUT, with 20 years experience in vehicle security and being a Vehicle Systems Installation Board (VSIB) accredited installer you have protection and peace of mind.

Vehicle Tracking Systems. (III and T)

Cats can also offer vehicle satellite tracking systems from Cobra and Trafficmaster Trackstar Plus.  These systems will usually range from £350.00 + vat and carry and annual or duration of ownership subscription cost.  These systems are category Q or III rated.

Cats are also a category 5 vehicle tracking system accredited company which is the highest category for vehicle tracking.  This is mainly a customer recognition system where the driver must have a programmed “key” when he is driving the vehicle.  These systems will usually range from £595 + vat and carry and annual or duration of ownership subscription.  These systems are category 5 or T rated

Motorcycle Alarm and Immobilisers. (VI)

Cats can offer the Laserline motorcycle alarm and immobiliser systems with prices ranging from £150.00 inc vat for an immobiliser and £300.00 inc vat for an alarm system.
These systems are category VI rated or MC1 / MC.
