On the 27th February 2007 the mobile handsfree law will have changed.  Drivers of a motor vehicle will face a new fixed penalty fine of £60.00 and 3 points on their licence if found to be using a mobile phone whilst driving a motor vehicle.  As we understand the Police will have a very low tolerance level and will be targeting drivers due to statistics of accidents.

Cats for Cars supply and install most makes of handsfree car kits including Nokia, Ericsson, Motorola and the Parrott range of Bluetooth handsfree kits.

You will now find that most manufactures only offer Bluetooth handsfree kits due to most of their product range offering Bluetooth technology on their mobile phones.  This enables customers to have one handsfree kit fitted; they will then be able to connect to any mobile phone they purchase which has Bluetooth.  There can be some complications with various manufacture mobile phones and we will be happy to discuss your requirements.

Cats can also offer their customers additional extras such as cradles to hold their mobile phones to the dashboard, Dashmount brackets, Transceptor “tax disc” antennas and full radio muting and interface the handsfree kit through the vehicle speaker system.  These additional parts have been available for many years and we still hold most parts in stock for most makes of vehicles. 

Cats can also offer to remove and reinstall an existing handsfree car kit from an old vehicle to new.
